Wondering if anyone in the IATI community is looking at this proposal to add a component to the GPEDC transparency indicator, attempting to assess transparency from the partner country’s perspective.
In a nutshell, it would look at whether aid information is captured in the country’s system (eg AIMS) as a proxy for whether aid information is usable and used.
We are collecting input from the EU constituency at present and will indeed comment on this part. It would be valuable if other community members provided their feedback as well. Here is some more background information and a link to the survey:
We are pleased to invite you to an open consultation to refine the current indicators of the Global Partnership monitoring framework, ahead of the launch of the 2018 monitoring round. Some of the current indicators are now undergoing a refinement process and we would like to hear your feedback and suggestions on how to improve the methodological proposal for these indicators.
